Hotel

We recommend the Cambridge Marriott Hotel , conveniently located next door to the MIT campus at:

Two Cambridge Center
50 Broadway
Cambridge, MA 02142

MITMUNC has negotiated reduced rates with the Cambridge Marriott Hotel between February 9 and February 12. Delegation advisers should make hotel reservations directly with the hotel. The reduced price for MITMUNC attendees at the Cambridge Marriott Hotel will be $129 per room per night. Advisers should contact Nancy Lee at to reserve rooms. Reservations must be made on or before January 19, 2012 for the discount to apply.

For more information about rates and reservations, please contact us at . General information about the hotel can be found at the Cambridge Marriot Hotel website.

We will be enforcing a curfew starting 30 minutes after the last conference event each night. (11:30 PM on Friday night, 12:30 AM on Saturday night) After curfew, delegates must stay in their rooms and refrain from making loud noises that may disturb other hotel guests.

Parking/Transportation

We recommend using the Boston T subway to get to the conference. There is a T stop (Kendall/MIT) very close to the conference at the entrance of the Marriott hotel. The T's route map can be found on their website. Additionally, if you are flying into Logan International Airport, it is quite easy to take the Silver Line Bus to South Station, then transfer to the Red Line subway towards Alewife Station to get to Kendall/MIT. A taxi ride between MIT and Logan Airport will cost between $20 and $30 dollars.

For drivers, the Marriott has a paid parking garage near their hotel at $23/night. However, after 5 PM on Friday and on weekends, there is free parking in the parking lot outside of E51, the conference's main building. Before 5 PM Friday, we would recommend curbside parking near E51 or parking at the Marriott.

Internet Access

Free Guest Wireless Internet access is available on campus for those who bring Wi-Fi enabled electronics. Paid Wireless Internet access is available in the Marriott hotel too. Please note however that delegates are not allowed to use electronics in committee session.

Food

MITMUNC will be selling lunch on Saturday and Sunday of the conference. The cost will be $8 per person per meal and will need to be ordered and paid before the conference. Delegations who order lunch will be given lunch tickets at Check In which will be used to get lunch on Saturday or Sunday. You can order lunch tickets through the Control Panel.

Other than lunches for participating attendees, and breakfast for advisers, attendees are expected to get their own food. There are several restaurants in the Kendall and Central Square areas that sell food during the conference weekend. We encourage you to still buy lunches from us since Kendall Square has limited dining options on weekends and Boston is cold.
